Hudson Hat Pattern Release November 28th.

After many, many revisions the Hudson Hat pattern will be available for purchase on November 28th. I chose that date because it’s the day my twin daughters turn 2. It seemed fitting enough 🙂

I hope you all rush out and buy it and start knitting your own darling Hudson Hats!

Exciting, non-knitting, news!

My wonderful, smart, caring, creative, and devoted husband just got a call back on a REAL job!  Like a career job.  This is the job he has been really hoping would pan out.  It is a sacrifice in the beginning, but will pay of hugely in the future.  It is in Puget Sound Wash., so after the holidays they are paying to bring him up there for a tour of the town/facilities and a second interview.  Woohoo!

In other news, it is looking possible that we will be fostering a 7 month-old, deaf, American Bulldog.  He is mostly white, about 75 pounds, and his name is Chief.  Hopefully he will make a good companion for our pitbull, Easy (yes that’s her name NOT an adjective).

My little Hudson Hat model

The launch of the Hudson Hat went ok. I sold one in-stock and heard whispers on forums that people would like to see it on a child. I am waiting on a professional picture from a great photographer who traded me a hat for professionally modeled picture. Until I get that in, I won’t be putting any pictures on my cart.

But, I am ok sharing a few snapshots on my blog. My photography skills just don’t do justice to the cute kid or the adorable hat.

More yarn

I got the yarn dyeing bug again yesterday and came up with a rainbow of sorts. I love nothing more than orange trim yarn on longies, so that is what I dyed to go with this colorway.

Please don’t forget that the auction for the “Guppy” longies ends tonight at 8:10 est and the Hudson Hat’s are available at 8pm est. Now go tell all your friends!

A new blog!

This is it. The final blog. I promise this will be the last one forever…. or a long time anyway! I have commitment issues, what can I say?

I will be using this blog as a place to announce general Ky Baby Knits news and share about my latest creations and ideas. Enjoy your stay! Also, I love comments and appreciate anyone who leaves one for me 😀

Here are a few yarns I’ve dyed recently. These are tentatively slated to be semi-custom slots for my Hyena Cart. I am slowing down my business for the holiday season, and rather than list 4 customs at a time I will be making items for instock at my leisure, and listing one semi-custom at a time as the mood strikes me. If there is one that you would love to see offered soon, please leave a comment! If you have any name ideas for these colorways that you would like to share, I would love to hear them.

Now back to those instock items. I will be focusing mostly on Hudson Hat’s for instock. What is a Hudson Hat you ask? It is a new creation of mine inspired by a very creative woman whom I’ve had the great pleasure of knowing since both of our middle children were in diapers (cloth of course;)

Here is a little taste of what a Hudson Hat looks like:
